Isner had a highly successful college career at the University of Georgia from 2003 to 2007. As a freshman, he was runner-up for the NCAA doubles title before winning it as a sophomore.

He led Georgia to the status of team runner-up in the NCAA championship in 2006 before leading them to the championship in 2007. With Isner at the # 1 singles position and playing doubles, Georgia lost just one match in his final 2 years. In March 2007, having been undefeated in his prior 46 matches, he lost to 5' 9", 145 pound Jesse Levine, a freshman at University of Florida, in his only regular-season match loss all season. Isner spent most of 2007 ranked # 1 in NCAA singles play, finishing # 2 behind NCAA Singles champion Somdev Devvarman of The University of Virginia.

Mardy Fish (born December 9, 1981 in Edina, Minnesota) is an American professional tennis player. He is a hardcourt specialist. He is one of several young American tennis players who rose to prominence at the beginning of the 21st century. He is currently ranked #28 in the world. Fish has won three tournaments on the main ATP Tour, and has reached the final of two elite Masters Series events; Cincinnati in 2003, and Indian Wells in 2008. His best result at a Grand Slam tournament came at the 2007 Australian Open, where he reached the quarter-finals before losing to compatriot Andy Roddick and the 2008 US Open where he also reached the quarter-finals before losing to current World No. 1 Rafael Nadal. His biggest win in singles came when he defeated the then World No. 1 Roger Federer at the Pacific Life Open in 2008.

Robert ("Bob") Charles Bryan was born on April 29, 1978, in Camarillo, California and is an American male professional tennis player. With his twin brother Mike, he has been a World No. 1 doubles player for the last several years. He has won thirteen Grand Slam titles, including seven in men's doubles and six in mixed doubles. He turned professional in 1998.

He played for Stanford University in 1997 and 1998, where he helped the Cardinal win back-to-back NCAA team championships. In 1998, he won the "Triple Crown" by taking the NCAA singles, doubles (with his twin brother Mike), and team titles. He was the first man to accomplish this since Stanford's Alex O'Brien did it in 1992

Michael ("Mike") Carl Bryan (born 29 April 1978 in Camarillo, California) is an American professional tennis player. He stands 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) tall, weighs 192 lbs and plays right-handed. He turned professional in 1998.

He played for Stanford University in 1997 and 1998, where he helped the Cardinal win back-to-back NCAA team championships. In 1998, he won the NCAA doubles title with his twin brother Bob.

Both brothers started their professional careers playing World TeamTennis for teams like the Idaho Sneakers through the current season for the St. Louis Aces.
